As many know Bully breeds are the number one breed of dog in shelters throughout the country. It's the number one most turned into shelters, the number one least desirable breed due to stereotypes and the number one most euthanized. This makes our job extremely difficult. We want to help save as many as we can but funds play a crucial role in this. The majority of the dogs that come into SSBR require extensive medical care out of the realm of norm (life saving critical care, surgeries, heartworm treatment) on top of the normal vetting and training costs. This can cost us thousands of dollars per dog.
